There are two sets of connected bills passing through the capitals of several States that I find most interesting. The first to start was the re-assertion of the Tenth Amendment which states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
The federal government has pervasively and steadily usurped those things reserved to the States. These collective bills, I hope, are the opening salvo in the reemergence of States rights and the retraction of the federal government to is constitutional bounds.
Round two is a more developing situation. It has to do with interstate/intrastate commerce and guns. Montana and then my state of Tennessee have passed laws which state that guns made in and to be sold within the state borders are not under the authority of the federal government to regulate. These law bring together two arguments that I strongly believe in: gun rights and states rights.
There have been few times in nations history that have been more pivotal. Now we have the choice to return to individual liberty and freedom, capitalism, and the constitution or to embrace socialism, soft communism, and soon, abandon the constitution legitimately as opposed to the death by a thousand redefinitions strategy that is currently being employed.

Real Truth
It is impossible to talk about right and wrong, good and bad without this basic agreement: truth is real and knowable but often obscured. Some truth is very obvious and very few will deny it. If I asked, "Is it true that you reading this blog?" you would probably answer, "It is true." You could answer negatively or ambiguously as those who say that there is no physical reality but all a construct of some transcendent metaphysical supper intelligence. If you did, you wouldn't sound very intelligent and any discussion with you about the subject would surely anger the TMSI (and bore the crap out of everyone else.)
If I asked, "Is it true that most politicians are deceitful?" you could either agree or disagree with an intelligent, well informed answer. This is the middle ground of truth; the things that are not obviously true and not obviously untrue. The exact real estate of this middle ground will move greatly depending on you point of view. But my goal is to ask questions, provide discussions, and hopefully answers to the middle ground of truth.

Greetings
Hello, old friends and new. I hope to spend some time together here as we all consider things we thought we knew or realize the truth about things we haven't considered before. I want to tell you a little about my purpose and scope here.
I spend much of my time thinking, considering, self-debating, and planning about many things. Most of the time I'm doing this as a secondary task. My primary task at any given time being some menial chore like my job or driving. Both mostly a waist of time. My point here is three-fold. One, to get some of these ideas from the ether onto something more solid, tangible. I also seek to get some feedback on these posts. My interest is often peeked at times when other people start to yawn so I'm curious to find out what other people think. Finally, I'm trying to develop my writing skill. If anyone wishes to give feedback on that, I would welcome it as well.
Subject-Taboo. They say the two things you should never talk about are religion and politics... I think whoever said that was afraid they couldn't support their opinions. These are a primary subjects. I will also write about science (I guarantee controversy), philosophy, current events, and technology from time to time.
Here's a clue about where I'm coming from. I believe in truth. I think there are some things that after varying levels of examination and consideration, we can know to be true. There are other things that we might never know. But my contention is that this proves the inadequacy of the human mind or vision rather than the lack of a definitive truth. I think my next post will be on this very subject.
I hope you enjoy the reading as much as I enjoy the writing. If you think I'm an idiot, or a genius, let me know!
